Our journey begins...

Today we finally got back into the swing of things! After the summer break, we met up with the children again during the autumn half-term.

Over a wonderful meal together, we set off on an imaginative journey. The children had received a very special invitation: a friend who lives on Mars wants to meet them!

But how do we get there? With a rocket we’ve built ourselves, of course! 🚀

And what shall we take to our friend so he can find out how we eat on Earth?

The children had lots of ideas: specialities from Afghanistan, Syria, Persia, Iran and all the countries they and their families come from. Everyone brought a little piece of their own culinary culture with them. The result was a colourful celebration of cultural exchange – even on Mars! 🌍❤️

Today, we started by developing the story together. Tomorrow we’ll carry on: the children will create storyboards, read, practise speaking and narrate their scripts, take on their roles and prepare for filming.

Step by step, their ideas will come together to form a film!

We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us, what adventures await us on Mars and how the children will spin the story further.

To be continued – we’ll keep you posted! 🚀✨
