Planting Stories is a collection of enjoyable tools for collaborating with houseplants to support self-reflection through self-directed learning.

Our portfolio of eleven zines consists of A4 / A5, easy-to-print workbooks in three languages: English, German, and Croatian.

Each zine is an invitation to connect with yourself and your plants. We invite you to join us on this journey of growth and connection.

Our Story: How The Project Developed

Cross Pollination - In Berlin

The team from Croatia travel to Berlin and taught our community Stop-Motion film and self-coaching techniques. Just for our team we learnt Digital Storytelling, Marketing and helpful Target Group reflection exercise.

Cross Pollination - In Lipik

We travelled to Croatia to teach the Tilia team the power of metaphors, the history of Zines and Lino-printing techniques. For their community we hosted a sensory engagement afternoon and a full day of drop-in creative workshops and Nature Walks.

Next Phases

In Croatia target group research was carried out according to age group, reflecting the life stages of a plant. e.g. Kindergarten children explored seeds. Meanwhile in Berlin target groups worked with a unique plant as a metaphor and were guided by its properties towards self-reflection.

Design and Dissemination

The information gathered from this in-depth group learning and research has been collated to form a series of zines.

Illustrated by artists, filled with engaging invitations to reflection and creative exercises, the zines are a beautiful bridge between people and plants for our mutual wellbeing.
