On Mars with Nabu
SlowTV Closing Party - Full of Life!
What a spectacular finale to our SlowTV project!
Together with the children, their families and lots of guests, we celebrated the AI-generated film, the images and the story of our journey to Mars.

The story centres on Nabu, who lives on Mars and invites the children to visit him. He has prepared a big meal that he wants to share with them. The children are desperate to visit him – and, of course, to bring something with them: specialities from their home countries, so that Nabu can discover just how diverse the flavours of Earth are.

But first, we need a rocket! The children build, paint, make and design the journey using their own ideas. In the process, the story developed with AI and the AI-generated images merge with the children’s imagination: they paint scenes from the story, colour in the AI images projected onto the wall and add their own motifs.
Rockets are made and painted, whilst flowers and ornaments take shape. In this way, digital inspiration and the children’s creative activities give rise to a shared creative adventure that draws on their experiences, their imagination and their everyday lives.

The AI-generated film tells the story of Nabu and the children, who build a rocket, fly to Mars and celebrate together there. They eat, dance, laugh and sing. Then it’s time to say goodbye and fly back to Earth in the rocket – with the hope of seeing each other again soon.
Our closing party was also full of encounters. Far more people turned up than we had expected. From the youngest to the older children, accompanied by their mums and dads: the room was full of life, joy and eager attention.
To round things off, we also had a festive meal together. Everyone was able to eat, drink, chat and enjoy each other’s company. What Nabu’s story conveys was also evident amongst us that day: sharing food, getting to know one another and having a lovely time together.
We would like to thank the team and everyone who has accompanied, supported and helped shape this project.

We’d like to say a special thank you to you, the children: for your brilliant ideas, your energy, your willingness to help and the way you’ve all got on together. You’ve really brought this trip to life!
