Kreatives Deutsch - Not My Mother Tongue

Over the past few months, we’ve been collecting a beautiful variety of stories, poems, and sketches from people eager to express themselves in German, many of them for the very first time. The idea was simple: to create space for personal expression, without pressure or perfection, and to celebrate the courage it takes to write in a language that isn’t your own.

These small literary pieces, written with care and creativity, have now come together to form what we proudly call our first collection of small German literature. Whether playful, reflective, emotional, or experimental, each contribution offers a unique voice and perspective. It’s not about flawless grammar or native fluency, it's about making space for connection, curiosity, and creativity.

Adding a visual layer to this project, three talented enthusiasts: Marina, Ani, Lore and Nini stepped in to illustrate some of these texts. Their drawings bring the words to life, offering a new dimension to the stories and poems, and making the experience even more engaging and accessible.
