What if, on your way home from work, you stumbled upon a group of people darning socks on the subway? Or sharing slices of cake and cups of tea while doing language tandems? Would you stop and sit with them, just to try something different during that routine home-to-work commute?

These are just some of the unusual activities we bring to life during our Creative Ring sessions. We meet on the platform of the S41 at Hermannstraße and hop on the Ringbahn for a full circle, always returning to where we started. In that one-hour ride, we try to inhabit the train car as if it were a cozy living room — doing something unexpected in a place where most people don’t feel “at home.”

Throughout the year, we organised live drawing sessions, poetry readings, sock-mending circles, and language exchanges. Each ride has been a playful and surprising journey — both through the city and through new ways of sharing public space.
