Zirkusstrassen - What a wonderful week!

Over six days of Zirkusstrassen, youth workers from France and Germany discovered that social circus is far more than a collection of artistic techniques. It is an invitation to listen differently, to embrace uncertainty, to laugh, to improvise, dare to be vulnerable, and to create together. From the first moments of building trust to clowning in the streets of Berlin, every exercise became an opportunity to discover ourselves through one another.
Together, we learned that the smallest gesture can open a genuine human connection, that courage often looks like playfulness, and that public spaces can become places of encounter, curiosity, and joy.
None of this happens on its own. Our heartfelt thanks go to our inspiring trainers, Pati and Nini whose care, creativity, and generosity held this journey together, and to Thea, whose playful language animations reminded us that connection always finds a way, whatever language we speak!
Thank you to every participant for your openness and courage, and to everyone who believes in bringing social circus into public spaces. Together, we created moments that will stay with us long after the red nose comes off.
We are grateful to Erasmus* and Das Deutsch-französische Jugendwerk*
for supporting this project.
